About Kim Seeburger:
My approach to working with clients is to bring compassion, kindness and a non-judgmental approach to the therapeutic process. Therapy oftentimes begins with searching for relief of symptoms related to trauma, depression, anxiety or addiction, among many other stressors of life, but through the therapeutic process, can lead to creating the life in which you truly find joy and purpose in living, along with a renewed sense of who you are and what values and core beliefs are important to you. My role is to be a support and resource for those sorting through what is working and what may be getting in the way of living the life you truly want to live, while allowing you, the client, to decide what that ideal life will look like and feel like.
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I am trained in several traditional psychotherapeutic techniques, as well as specialize in methods that integrate mind/body/emotion connection, where we sometimes get stuck at the intersection of verbal and nonverbal healing. I work with a strong trauma-informed clinical foundation and have a strong commitment to working with clients in a person-centered, strength-based approach that helps them see and utilize their strengths, rather than only focusing on challenges.
Kim Seeburger is co-owner of Immerse & Emerge Counseling located in Charlotte, North Carolina. Immerse & Emerge Counseling is currently offering teletherapy for clients in both North Carolina and Virginia.

About Jessica Palacios:
My goal as your therapist is to help you create a life worth living. While we cannot change your past, we can work together to create a better today and a brighter future. Regardless, of where you are in life or what your circumstances may be, I offer unconditional acceptance, so that you can feel safe to share your story without fear of judgment.
I emphasize a strengths-based and client-centered approach to therapy while utilizing a variety of theoretical perspectives including cognitive-behavioral, family systems, brief- supportive, solution-focused, trauma-focused, EMDR, among others. Therapies, techniques, and goals are tailored to you.
In therapy, we will work together to help you create a renewed sense of self and the world around you. I will meet you where you are in your journey by respecting your need to move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. I will be present to support the journey of discovery and adaptive change.
I received a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2012 from Lynchburg College. I began my counseling career in emergency mental health where I worked with a wide range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. In 2015, I began working at an outpatient psychiatric clinic providing individual counseling to adult populations diagnosed with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, substance abuse disorders, among others. Today, I primarily work with adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, significant life stressors, trauma, and grief and loss.

About Immerse & Emerge Counseling:
Kim Seeburger and Jessica Palacios started Immerse & Emerge Counseling to bring their expertise to more people.
After working together as Mental Health Consultants providing crisis counseling and mental health/substance abuse assessments in the Emergency Room setting, as well as both pursuing outpatient counseling with different agencies, they decided to open their private practice together. Both share a passion for helping people reach their full potential and recognizing their self-worth.
The name Immerse & Emerge speaks to the therapeutic process. Immerse represents the courage it takes to face the uncomfortable and sometimes intense emotions and be willing to do the work you do in therapy. Emerge represents the strengths you discover within yourself to create a more meaningful and purposeful life -- To get in touch with who you are at the core and reap the benefits of what that brings to your relationships, your vision of your life, and your sense of self.
